Finding Sutherland weaves a hand-drawn world into a digital environment that responds with light, color, and musical layers.  Use your senses to find hidden sources of gravity as you explore the movements of orbital mechanics.

We'd love to hear what you thought of the game. You can subscribe to our email list at Studio Bakajo and/or follow us on twitter @StudioBakajo.  Thank you for playing, feedback greatly appreciated!

Sutherland will likely be targeting Mobile and PC.  The WebGL build does not have spatial audio built in.  if you'd like to try a build with spatial audio or if you have any questions, please reach out to us at StudioBakajo@gmail.com

Description

See gravity through movement, navigate these currents with the ability to repel and attract. Explore an ambient world full of unexpected intricate patterns through art and sound as you affect your immediate surroundings as an orb of light

History

Finding Sutherland began in the spring of 2016 while Scott was working in Buffalo, NY as a Software Engineer and Liz was completing a Master of Fine Arts at State University of New York.  The project continued to develop as a handful of prototypes made alongside our adventures camping across the United States,  following the national forests in the United States between the Great Lakes, the Gulf, the Rockies and the Northwest Coast.  We have since set up Studio Bakajo on an island in the Puget Sound.

Features

Sutherland is a game about movement. The player navigates gravitational currents with the ability to repel and attract gravity, in a dark space that responds with light and color. The game is built with a touch screen in mind, but it works just as well with a keyboard, mouse or controller.

For some reason, on Safari on macOS, the how to play screen and the game itself just give black screens, although it's working fine on Chrome. Probably nothing you can do anything about but I thought I'd let you know anyway.

Okay, just played this. Such a beautiful, relaxing game! I love it and can't wait for more. It reminds me of Osmos.

Thanks fluffy!  I just saw this comment, guess I'm not getting notifications for comments yet.  Thanks for checking it out and I'm looking forward to seeing more of you and playing more of your games!
